Firmware upgrade instructions for Gen-E tablet
Note: It is known that microSD card larger than 2GB may have problems during the upgrade process. Please try another microSD card if the card you use didn't work.
Warning: the upgrade process will need to wipe all your user data, installed applications and the internal sd card. Please backup before you update your tablet.
1) Unzip all the files inside the ZIP package into the root of a microSD card. Meaning if your SDcard is on volume e: then unzip all the files under e:\
2) Connect the unit to the AC charger and switch off the tablet, plug in the microSD card containing the extracted files from the ZIP package
3) Press the "power" and "volume" key (the side further away from the power) at the same time, the tablet will start and keep vibrating for 1-2min, then the vibration stops and the screen will show upgrade status and progress bar
4) Leave it and wait until the screen says upgrade completed, then you press the power key for 8 seconds to shut down the unit.
5) Press the power button again to turn it on and check that the device can boot into Android
6) If you noticed anything that is missing or did not seems correct, please repeat process 1-5 one more time

About Standard ROM: suggestion to add other useful free applications welcomed.
If you have installed our mininium ROM, unless you really want to, you do not need to re-flash your tablet with the standard ROM. If you want to have the apps we placed inside the standard ROM, you could simply manually install the application we placed inside the apk folder of the standard ROM using file manager.
Note: our Gen-E firmware for N701 may work for the Dropad A9N. MagicTad M1 tablet, use it at your own risk.
